Peter S. Johnson, MD
is a staff pathologist at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he has served as a full time pathologist for 32 years and is now a senior active member of the Medical Staff. Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from University College London, School of Medicine, and his training in pathology at the Radcliffe Infirmary, University of Oxford Medical School. Dr. Johnson served for 20 years as Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Services for the North Broward Hospital District/Broward Health. He has held pathology faculty positions at the University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica, and at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Johnson is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the Royal College of Pathologists of the United Kingdom, and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He serves as an Inspector for the College of American Pathologists, Laboratory Accreditation Program. He is a member of the Broward County Medical Association. He has demonstrated experience and expertise in pathology of cancer and infectious disease.
